ENTRY-LEVEL

2. CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme – UK).

APPRENTICESHIPS

Trade-specific apprenticeships (e.g., Level 2 or 3 NVQs).
2. Earn-while-you-learn routes are common and respected.

FURTHER/TRADE QUALIFICATIONS
1.
NVQs/SVQs or City & Guilds qualifications (UK).
2. Diplomas or certifications in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
3. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (for electricians).
4. Gas Safe Registration (for gas engineers).

HEALTH & SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS

Site Safety Plus, SMSTS or SSSTS (for supervisors/managers).
2. First Aid at Work.
3. Manual Handling, Working at Heights.

HIGHER EDUCATION (FOR SOME ROLES)
1.
BTEC, HNC/HND, or Degrees in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering (for professional or management positions).
